Dr Simbiken is a doctoral graduate from the Research School of Biology (formerly Botany and Zoology) at Canberra's Australian National University.
He was previously acting secretary of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, and has been involved in close partnerships with other national departments and authorities in supporting transforming agri-food systems in Papua New Guinea.
