Diamond drilling in the Lipi North zone yielded major gold hits with a best intersection of 4m at 17.87 grams per tonne gold and 12.63gpt silver, including 1m of 67gpt gold and 45.4gpt silver, from 75m depth.
The company said the higher grades occurred within a broader anomalous gold zone and were encouraging because they were intersected about 130m north of the main zone.
Further drilling is planned in a bid to outline a JORC-compliant resource later this year, which is expected to include the Lipi and Puteran-Simpang prospects.
Augur is also planning a substantial reverse circulation drilling program to test geophysical and geochemical anomalies outside the known areas of mineralisation.
Recent drilling at the Puteran-Simpang prospect returned 8m at 1.26gpt gold and 2.75gpt silver from 77m and 1m at 4.22gpt gold, 36.3gpt silver and 1.35% copper from 171m.
Augur has a two-year option to purchase 90% of PT Golden Pricindo Indah, the company holding the licences covering the Central Jampang property.
Shares in Augur were down 2.94% in morning trade to A16.5c.
