INDONESIA’S Mines and Energy Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro says the country has issued five new production sharing contracts with major international oil producers, including ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips and Petronas, in a bid to lift its waning oil production profile.

ExxonMobil’s new offshore Surumana block covers 5339 square kilometres and is located in the Makassar Straits, according to a Reuters report, while ConocoPhillips has secured 9649sq.
