The agreement reduces the plant's operating costs and improves financial predictability and risk management. In addition, Wartsila will train the plant's employees.

The firm will take full responsibility for plant operation.

The Inur Sakato power plant is one of the first established infrastructures in Timor-Leste.

The 17.3 MW power plant, powered by four Wartsila 34DF engines, is the main power source for the entire Oecusse district.

The dual-fuel Inur Sakato plant will run on light fuel oil but may be converted to natural gas later on.
