Antam goes to the animals

INDONESIAN metals miner and processor Antam is taking part in an animal protection and conservation program with Taman Safari Indonesia Cisarua.

This year Antam adopted an orangutan named Silvio, after adopting an elephant named Goldy in 2015 in West Java.

Angam human capital & corporate social responsibility director I Made Surata said the cooperation was part of the implementation of a CSR program in the biodiversity sector.

"Antam adopted the elephant on the program of Foster Parents Animals TSI Cisarua, while in 2016 we decided to increase the amount of animals in the adoption program by adopting the orangutan.

"We hope our participation in this program will stimulate other companies to support the TSI Foster Parents Program."
