Woodside faces short-term pressure

WHILE Woodside Petroleum has set itself up for long-term growth, analysts expect its short-term financial performance to come under the pump while Australian Securities Exchange rival Oil Search’s revenue surges on PNG LNG production.

Motley Fool analyst Peter Stephens said yesterday that while shares in both Woodside (10%) and Oil Search (9%) had slumped since the start of the year as the near-term outlook for oil and gas prices
