IN THE wake of the worrying warnings of write-downs by PNG LNG joint venturer Santos last week, ratings agency Standard and Poor’s has reduced Santos’ long-term senior unsecured credit rating from BBB to BBB-, but the oiler says it retains its investment grade status and there is no material change in its financial position as a result of the announcement.
