The Agatha Christie-created sleuths could help solve this classic English-style whodunit set in the 1920s.

According to the Moresby Arts Theatre, the play introduces a fictional version of a ‘Moresby Arts Theatre' cast who are bravely working to stage the murder mystery.

But these amateur actors, while they may have the best intentions, stage a production that probably doesn't go exactly as the original playwright envisioned.

The accident-prone thespians bumble about on stage and battle on against all the odds to make it to the final curtain call.

"The Murder at Moresby Manor is a highly physical comedy packed with farce and slapstick, delivered with split-second timing and features a set that holds many secrets for the audience to discover," the Moresby Arts Theatre assures its prospective audiences.

Murder at Moresby Manor is presented August 31 to September 2 and from September 7 to September 9, all starting at 7pm. There is an additional matinee on September 9 at 1pm. Adult seats are K50, students (18 and under) are K20, and all matinee seats are K20.

Tickets may be obtained from Goroko Food World, Waterfront Foodworld and the Moresby Arts Theatre in Magani Crescent, Waigani.

The Moresby Arts Theatre is sponsored by AkzoNobel, Waterfront Foodworld, P and P Signs, Homecentres and security is provided by Black Swan.
