PAPUA New Guinea’s Governor-General, Sir Bob Dadae, married Emeline Tufi Folau in a private wedding and reception in Port Moresby on Saturday.

Folau, who is in her early 30s, who will be now known as Lady Emeline Tufi Dadae. She was previously a customs officer in Tonga before she met Dadae, who is 58 years old.
 
The wedding reception was held at Government House and in a brief speech, Dadae said God was gracious in giving him a new wife and a new mother for Government House, The National newspaper reported.
 
Dadae also called for a minute's silence to remember his late wife, Hannah, who died in December 2018.
 
Dadae was elected by parliament as Governor-General in 2017 and was the first from Morobe and Mamose to hold the vice-regal position.
