Anna Papadopoulos from CEOWorld Magazine has published a list of the cheapest (and most expensive) cities to rent a car in 2020 - and Port Moresby comes in at 95th out of 100 cities evaluated.
Moresby beats Lusaka and Harare, but rating worse are only Luanda, Ouagadougou, Porto Novo, Accra and Phnom Penh.
CEOWorld Magazine says Montenegro's capital Podgorica is the cheapest city in the world for car hire, at $40.85 to rent a mid-size vehicle for a week. Serbia's capital city Belgrade and the Croatian capital Zagreb follow in second and third costing $56.66 and $73.91 for a week's driving.
They are followed by Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Guatemala City (Guatemala), Athens (Greece), Brasilia (Brazil), and Vilnius (Lithuania) in fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh, costing $77.93, $107.99, $118.8, $124.23, and $129.16 respectively.
The Bulgarian capital Sofia ($137.71) and the Danish capital Copenhagen ($138.62) complete the top 10 cheapest cities to rent a car in 2020.
