Originally from Madang, Ikasa was recruited by the company after graduating with a degree in food technology in 2005 from the Lae's University of Technology.
The National newspaper reports that Ikasa, one of SP Brewery's early management graduate trainees, has served the company in several positions rising through the ranks from quality control supervisor in her first year and to quality control manager by 2010 at the company's Lae plant.
Ikasa was promoted to brewing manager in Lae in 2015 and four years and later moved to Port Moresby to take up her current role as packaging manager.
SP says that she is known for her passion for quality in brewing, Ikasa has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is always eager to mentor and coach junior staff, who now hold senior managerial positions in the company.
Ikasa said her success had been helped along by the company's structured brewing systems, communicating brewing with employees and leadership training.
