ALL incoming passengers are required to undergo 14-day quarantine regardless of country of origin says Papua New Guinea’s pandemic controller David Manning.
Manning said he had to clarify misunderstandings which seem to have given rise to different requirements being sent out by different airline operators.
However, Manning could grant exemptions to this requirement, both for persons approved to enter PNG before and after January 15 and added that he expected airlines to comply with this directive.
Manning also said that, unless provided an exemption in writing, passengers would be required upon arrival to have a tracking app put on their smart phones if going into hotel quarantine or another location not designated.
