Sixteen of the new cases were in the in the National Capital District, 15 were in West New Britain while New Ireland and Central Province each reported one positive case.
Among those tested positive are two pastors, three students, three drivers and a health worker.
Fourteen cases did not show symptoms of Covid-19 at the time of testing while one was experiencing cough.
Covid-19 has now claimed nine lives in Papua New Guinea.
