The latest cases were reported in four provinces; West Sepik, Madang, East New Britain and in the National Capital District.
In NCD's Moresby South, two men aged 45 and 49, experienced fever, muscle aches and coughing at the time of testing positive.
There were six new positives in West Sepik while there was one each in East New Britain and Madang.
A 36-year-old woman is the latest to be confirmed positive in the East New Britain. She was exhibiting symptoms at the time of testing.
In Madang, a 52-year-old woman was the most recent to be confirmed positive. She was not showing symptoms but swab samples returned a positive test.
West Sepik recorded six positive cases of which five are health care workers. All six cases, three men and three women, between the ages of 30 and 62, were detected through contact tracing.
