Covid-19 restrictions, like mask-wearing, have now been dropped, says David Manning

The new rules include controlling price increases, preventing customs and import duties being applied to Covid supplies procured on the government's behalf and instructing health facilities on Covid reporting.
 
Liquor related sales have been restored to pre-covid restrictions, allowing the return of takeaway liquor sales on Fridays and Saturdays.
 
"We have all had to adapt to changes and challenges brought on by this global Covid-19 pandemic.
 
"As the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary commissioner and controller for the National Control Centre for Covid-19, l thank you for contributing towards a safer PNG," Manning said in a statement published on the RPNGC's Facebook page.
