SINGAPORE Tapis crude prices have jumped $US6.88 in a single day of trading, prompting a warning of fuel-driven unrest in the country from PNG Minister for Justice and Attorney General Dr Allan Marat.

While the vital Asia Pacific benchmark of Tapis crude is trading a few dollars shy of the record price of over $US139 per barrel achieved in recent weeks, Friday's close of $US135.
