BLOOMBERG Intelligence head of global metals & mining research Ken Hoffman says there is $US60 billion ($A77 billion) of private equity money sitting on the sidelines with an investment by Mick Davis’ X2 Resources to be a trigger.
Speaking on the first day of Mines and Money Hong Kong, Hoffman said private equity was the "game of a gambler".
