Fisheries reform continues

ALTHOUGH a meeting in June between the Papua New Guinean officials and the European Union was described by National Fisheries Authority managing director John Kasu as “positive”, regulatory issues over illegal fishing are still in the works.

According to The National, Kasu said the agency is hoping to get amendments to the country's fisheries laws approved by cabinet at the end of this month.
