Visitor numbers boost SI tourism

A JUMP of 15.6% in visitor numbers in April this year has been described by the Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau as “fantastic news” and giving a “massive shot of confidence” to the country’s tourism sector.

CEO Josefa Tuamoto said a strategic approach taken by the SIVB, the government, the national airline and local industry in marketing the country as a tourism destination is showing promise.
