Under the direction of Business France - a national agency facilitating the international development of French companies in foreign markets - 12 firms will showcase specialised solutions for key growth areas in the country's economy.

These include Cobra Europe; BlueCham; Zodiac Milpro; Easy Skill; Thales; Precia Molen; A2EP; GC Software; Matiere; AMC SUD; MPH; and Kahn and Associates.

During his trade mission to Europe in June, Prime Minister Peter O'Neill said France was a strong market for PNG exports and is also a gateway into the EU, adding PNG offered "stability, responsible management and growth" to international investors.

"French companies already have a presence in PNG and this is set to grow. Total SA is about to become one of the largest investors in the nation with the next LNG project to be brought online in the coming years," he said at the time.

"Europe might be a long way away but investment and business will travel to the right opportunity."

The delegation will be in PNG from today until Thursday November 5.
