The drive is a partnership between Lae City Authority, Digicel and JLE Pacific Advertising.
The ads sold will be placed on 42 bus stops, 240 solar light posts and 288 new light posts from Two Mile to Nine Mile.
JLE Pacific Advertising is a Lae-based advertising and fabrication company that will undertake the management of advertising spaces in Lae to generate revenue back to the Lae City Authority while assisting with the aesthetic appeal and beautification of the Morobe Province capital city.
"We have estimated that once all the new signage is in place and advertisers engaged the revenue generated from the advertising will enable the Lae City Authority to meet the obligations of the monthly electricity account for the lights in Lae as well as the lights to Nine Mile.
"This will also give us an opportunity to put a regular maintenance program in place for street lighting," the Lae City Authority said.
