PNG forex on the rise, says Bakani

THE level of foreign exchange reserves increased to K9.3 billion ($2,701.31 million), reflecting inflows of loans from the Australian government ($100 million), ADB ($500 million) and dividend payments to the government from Ok Tedi gold mine ($113 million).

This was said by Bank of PNG governor Loi Bakani in his Quarterly Economic Bulletin for the March and June quarters of 2020.
 
Bakani said this was an increase from the K7.1 billion, or $2,076.
