Bowa, along with six men from the Air Transport Wing, have completed their training in aircraft maintenance engineering and received their certificates yesterday in Port Moresby.

Bowa, who is from Manus and the Eastern Highlands, told EMTV News that her achievement came after hard work and dedication over the course of nine years.

"It was a long wait, but I think it was worth it. I was very excited to receive the certificate and I look forward to the work with the Defence Force," Bowa said.

The seven were trained in New Zealand at the Marlborough Institute of Technology and also in Australia.
