IN keeping with the week-long festivities celebrating Papua New Guinea’s 42nd anniversary of independence, the Port Moresby Nature Park will be holding the Pasin Tumbuna Festival this weekend.

The Pasin Tumbuna Festival celebrates the traditional skills and daily practises of New Guinean forefathers.
 
At the festival, the Port Moresby Nature Park assures us that one will be able to discover, see, learn and participate in traditional cookery, carving making, musical instrument and bilus (costume) making, weaving, fire making, plus much more.
 
Pasim Tumbuna - the Day of our Ancestors - takes place from 9am to 3pm on Sunday and prices are K7 for adults, K4 for students and K3 for children aged between three and five years.
