Redscar is in Porebada and Lealea is in the Hiri West district, both of which received the new, fully furnished houses.
Lealea Primary Grade 7 teacher Wapu Tinaik James, said she was excited to be moving into her new house. "I have been teaching at Lealea Primary School for seven years now, and I am so honoured and privileged to be blessed by this housing. For the past three years, I've had a long commute to school. My deepest thanks to ExxonMobil PNG for its commitment to improving education in our communities," she said.
PNG LNG plant manager Alyssa Warner said that one of the most important ways to build the capacity of the nation was through education.
"When teachers and students have access to a safe and comfortable place to teach and learn, the likelihood of improved educational outcomes is increased," Warner said.
ExxonMobil PNG has supported Redscar High School and Lealea Primary Schools since 2014 with the building and renovation of staff houses and classrooms, as well as the construction of new ablution blocks.
