The information session on that day will take place at the Lae International Hotel, Conference Centre Hall, from 7am to 9am.
PNG Biomass says that with growing demand for electricity in Lae and on the Ramu grid, there is space for multiple power generators, using a diversified range of electricity generation technologies.
"PNG Biomass is a well-known renewable energy producer which signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with PNG Power in 2015 to provide 30MW into the Ramu Grid. The biomass project has been operating in the Markham Valley since 2011, establishing tree plantations for its dedicated biomass fuel supply," said PNG Biomass.
The company says that in recent months, PNG Biomass made progress by working closely with PNG Power to lower the PPA tariff and reach an agreement that will half the price of power on the Ramu Grid when the Biomass power plant is commissioned.
