The deadline for the submission of applications is August 7 and shortlisted applicants will be announced from August 23. Winners will be named on September 12.
The organisers say the award is designed "to recognise an Australian energy network business that demonstrates outstanding leadership in consumer engagement".
The judging panel comprises Rosemary Sinclair (Energy Consumers Australia), Jim Cox (Australian Energy Regulator), Gavin Dufty (St Vincent De Paul Society), Mark Henley (Uniting Communities), Robyn Robinson (Council on the Ageing), Craig Memery (Public Interest Advocacy Centre) and John Devereaux (Goanna Energy Consulting).
For the 2019 Energy Network Industry Innovation Award - which recognises leadership in the design, development and application of a ground-breaking Australian energy network initiative, technology, service, or solution - the judging panel comprises Jill Cainey (Energy Networks Australia), Tim Finnigan (CSIRO), Gavin Dufty, Violette Mouchaileh (Emerging Markets and Services), Craig Chambers (ARENA) and Lillian Patterson (Clean Energy Council).
