PNG’s first World Heritage listing has been approved, placing the spotlight on five application licences and one exploration licence in the proposed World Heritage Area of the Kokoda Track and Owen Stanley mountain ranges.

First submitted back in early 2006, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation approved the Kuk Early Agricultural Site in Western Highlands Province this week.
