This interval started from a depth of 102m and included a 2m interval at 31.78gpt gold. At just 18m down this same hole it hit an 18m intersection at 3gpt gold.

This hole was terminated early at a depth of 142.6m due to difficult ground conditions with another hole since drilled to re-test this zone.

An adjacent hole hit grades as high as 14gpt gold in the 93-205m depth range.

Indochine said results from 37 more holes were pending. The pre-feasibility study results are scheduled to be released before September 28.

Mt Kare is only 15km southwest of Barrick Gold's significant Porgera mine in Enga province and so far hosts 1.8 million ounces of gold and 20Moz silver resources.
