Last week local media reported that Aihi was stripped of his Central Province seat after the Court of Disputed Return upheld a bribery allegation against him.
The successor will be determined through a by-election.
The court stripped People's Progress Party's Ezekiel Anisi of his East Sepik seat in October for failing to be on the electoral roll or of meeting the minimum age requirement for standing.
Several seats were decided by less than 100 votes in this year's election.
There are also various electoral anomalies which are part of other petitions against voting results.
