In a strongly worded statement, he stated the need for the National Government and ABG to work together to achieve results from the peace agreement, and indicated that the former has broken both the Constitution and the BPA in withholding operational funding.
He was also critical of his own government's inexperience, indicating the biggest challenge for Bougainville moving forward is not having the right people in place capable of policy and law development.
He indicated that the Joint Supervisory Body, a special meeting between the ABG and the PNG government held this week, would be occupied with resolving the ingratitude shown by PNG for Bougainville's economic contributions to the national economy in the past. He stressed that ABG need to work through their own resentment to the National government otherwise there would be no hope of resolution, and security for the BPA.
