O'Nea is a graduate of the University of PNG with a Bachelor's degree in political science (2000) and completed a post-graduate diploma in international political economy, with honours in 2001.
In 2002 and 2003 she studied international relations and diplomacy at the Centre for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies in Paris. In 2015, she completed a law degree at UPNG and was admitted to practice as a lawyer after attending the PNG Legal Training Institute in 2016.
POMCCI president Rio Fiocco says that apart from her academic qualifications, O'Nea has more than 15 years of experience in professional, administration, event management, marketing and media.
"With her diverse background and previous experience working with the Business Council of PNG, I am pleased to welcome Stacey on board our team," Fiocco said.
The appointment follows the surprise dismissal of long-serving CEO David Conn in April last year.
