Despite US President Joe Biden postponing his PNG visit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be a guest of the government on May 22 for a bilateral meeting with Marape.
 
After their talks, they will move to APEC Haus for the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Co-operation Summit.  Fourteen Pacific Island leaders will be in Port Moresby for the summit. It is expected that New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins will also attend.
 
On the agenda:
 
• An MOU on cooperation in Micronesia and SMEs between India and PNG.
 
• Reciprocal visa on arrival arrangements.
 
• Cultural exchange programs.
 
•  Visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders.
 
• MOU between state-owned broadcaster Prasar Bharat and NBC.
 
• MOU on foreign office consultation and on ICT cooperation.
 
• Various proposal on assistance to be given by India's government to PNG.
