The office of the personal loan business was opened by Morobe Governor Ginson Saonu and members of the MoniPlus board.

 

The company started near Port Moresby in 1998 with 10 staff members, and now employs more than 150 people.

 

The Lae office is the first provincial office to be established and the company plans to have an office in every province over the next few years.

 

Mount Hagen, Kokopo and Alotau are next in line for MoniPlus branches.
