Five new vehicles for Lae police

LAE has received five new police vehicles for use in the city which sometimes has spikes in crime and violence.

The vehicles were handed over to Lae Metro Police superintendent Anthony Wagambie by assistant police commissioner Peter Guiness.
 
The event took place before a parade of 130 policemen and women of the Royal PNG Constabulary.
 
Also present was Police Minister Jelta Wong, police commissioner Gary Baki as well as local government and police officials, the Australian Federal Police and business dignitaries.
 
The vehicles have been funded by the District Services Improvement Program.
