This is the word from PNG's national carrier, which said that due to pandemic restrictions the Australian government was limiting the number of passengers on each aircraft arriving into Brisbane.
This was in order to manage the flow of arriving passengers into the available quarantine facilities.
"As a result of these measures, there are virtually no seats remaining on any Air Niugini flight to Brisbane from November 24 to December 12. Flights coming from Brisbane to Port Moresby are not restricted," Air Niugini said.
The airline added that there were still flights to Cairns on Mondays and Fridays, and seats on the route were still available.
