IT IS time to zoom in to what’s happening with Pacific infrastructure projects when the Australia Pacific Islands Business Council hosts a webinar on September 9 at 11am (Papua New Guinea time).

The APNG Business Council says the event is designed to provide an update of infrastructure projects in the Pacific. 
 
"This briefing program will provide an update for business of the projects in the Pacific which have been funded and those which are in future consideration. The Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific's most recently announced transaction involved a $68 million financing facility for Airports Fiji and involved AIFFP, ANZ Banking Group and Export Finance Australia.
 
"In addition to speakers from AIFFP and the Department of Defence, speakers from ANZ will speak about how ANZ as the major Australian financial institution in the Pacific is well placed to support future well-structured transactions to support the development of sustainable economic infrastructure, and Airports Fiji Limited will share with participants what this opportunity means for assisting Fiji prepare for post-covid re-opening to the world," the APNG Business Council said.
 
The event will be opened by Ian Clarke (Australia Pacific Islands Business Council) and other speakers include Rob Jauncey (AIFFP); Colonel Matt Gallagher (Australian Department of Defence); Tessa Price (ANZ Banking Group); Geoffrey Shaw (Airports Fiji); and Sheila Lunter (Australian Trade Commission).
 
Registration is $A40 for members and $A75 for non-members and registrations may be done through the apibc.org.au website.
