The joint venture is managed by Geopacific, which said that recent drilling at Kulumadau deposit focused on two key areas.

The first was to follow up the discovery intersection north of Kulumadau East and the second was to improve the confidence in resource classification.

One of the best hits was 18m at 8.89 grams per tonne gold and 52m @ 2.82g/t.

The companies said the extensive drilling program was ongoing, with two diamond drill rigs and an RC rig in operation at Woodlark Island. Further assays expected in coming weeks.
