The revised resource comes as a result of exploration drilling in March this year and combines the Nakru 1 and Nakru 2 deposits. This resource amounts to about 29 million tonnes at 0.92% copper and 0.22 grams per tonne gold, using a cut-off grade of 0.3% copper.

The deposits are about 1.5km apart and modelling by consultants Mining Associates confirmed the presence of higher grade - above 0.5% copper - mineralisation lenses at shallow levels which Coppermoly said should have an impact on the project's economics.

"The Nakru 1 inferred mineral resource is open to the south west down plunge. The Nakru 2 inferred mineral resource is currently the smaller deposit, and is open in all directions," Coppermoly said.
