HIGHLANDS Pacific has transferred management of its Star Mountains project in Papua New Guinea’s West Sepik Province to Anglo American after the mining major spent $25 million on exploration.

Under a joint venture signed in early 2015, Anglo paid Highlands $10 million for the rights to 51% of the project, and had to spend $25 million in the first four years to reach a 15% interest.
