ZENITH Energy says it has been awarded a further three-year manage, operate and maintain contract by Ok Tedi Mining at its Tabubil Power Station in Papua New Guinea’s Western Province.
The new contract with Ok Tedi, which began retrospectively on July 1 this year, also offers Zenith an option to extend for an additional three years, from the expiration of the latest agreement, taking the total tenure of contract through to June 2023.
Zenith managing director Hamish Moffat said Ok Tedi's continued relationship with Zenith "was a further demonstration of Zenith's reputation for building strong, working partnerships with our clients to deliver superior outcomes".
The new contract extension is forecast to generate revenue consistent with historical levels with this long-standing customer and is material to Zenith's operations, Moffat said.
