The presenter is Kumul managing director Isikeli Taureka and in the briefing he will provide a briefing on the reforms being undertaken by the company "which will assist participants understand how this will create greater business and economic opportunities in Papua New Guinea".
The APNGBC says Taureka is one of Papua New Guinea's most senior and respected business leaders who has decades of experience in senior roles in the resources and financial service sectors in PNG and internationally.
He is also chairman of Kina Securities and was chairman of the CEO Summit at APEC 2018 held in PNG.
Under the mandate given by the government, Taureka is "leading Kumul on a range of reforms to improve the governance of the state-owned enterprises for which it is responsible and to implement strategies for improving the business and economic performances of these enterprises to return greater shareholder value to the people of PNG".
Kumul holds in trust the Papua New Guinea government's non-petroleum and non-mining assets. As a trustee, Kumul is the holding company for nine state-owned enterprises operating in agriculture, aviation, banking and financial services, insurance, maritime infrastructure, power, post and logistics, telecommunications, and water and sanitation.
Kumul also acts as the manager of infrastructure projects throughout PNG such as hydroelectric power facilities, metropolitan sewerage systems property and port developments.
