THE board of New Zealand junior explorer and producer Austral Pacific Energy has accepted the resignation of its chief executive Rick Webber, effective April 30. Webber, who is leaving after just 13 months with the company, will also resign his position as a director. There appears to be frustration on both sides.
Webber cites dissatisfaction as the main reason for his departure from Austral, which is a partner in PNG's Douglas gas field.
