INTERNATIONAL dredging company Jan De Nul has awarded the contract for the construction of the 191m specialist deep-sea mining vessel Jules Verne to Spanish shipbuilder La Naval.
The vessel, which is estimated to be completed in the third quarter of 2009, will be used at Nautilus Minerals' Solwara-1 copper-gold operation off the PNG coast.
