Exploration budgets plummet

GLOBAL exploration budgets for non-ferrous metals are estimated to have fallen 29% this year to $US15.2 billion ($A15.8 billion).

SNL Metal Economics Group's 24th Corporate Exploration Strategies collected data from almost 3500 mining companies worldwide, of which more than 2100 had 2013 exploration budgets.
