In 2015 the company sold 46,751 wet metric tonnes of nickel ore while domestic nickel ore sales in the first half of 2016 reached 644,125wmt.
Sales of nickel ore to the domestic market is part of Antam's plan to boost revenue and profitability.
"In addition to increasing our revenues the initiative also aims to optimise Antam's nickel ore deposit and support the downstream mineral industry program," Antam president director Tedy Badrujaman said.
Badrujaman has also been named Best Green CEO 2016 and Antam won the Metal and Mineral category in the Social Business Innovation Company awards.
"Antam is committed in the implementation of good mining practices in each of its operational stages from exploration, mining, processing and environmental management," he said.
