Gold Ridge urges dewatering of TSF

GOLD Ridge Mining has once again sought out approval from the Solomon Islands government to dewater its tailing storage facilities (TSF) to avoid a potential environmental catastrophe should seasonal heavy rains cause it to flood.

The company said yesterday it had done everything reasonable within its power to reduce the risk of an overflow and urged the government to immediately execute a controlled release of untreated water
