WORLEYParsons, one of the key contractors on the Papua New Guinea gas project, has appointed Anne Templeman-Jones to its board with effect from the beginning of this month.

Templeman-Jones is currently non-executive director at GUD Holdings, HT and E and Cuscal.
 
She has a Master's degree in risk management, which examines the risks that arise from the execution of an organisation's day-today activities across industries such as mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, aeronautical and financial services.
 
Templeman-Jones specialises in risk analysis and decision-making using a wide range of information sources, including expert opinion, firstline experience and system simulation. 
 
WorleyParsons, through a joint venture with KBR, was executing the front-end engineering and design for the PNG gas project, which involves tapping vast quantities of natural gas in PNG's Southern Highlands and transporting it over 3000km via pipelines to customers in Australia.
 
This included the design of a gathering system encompassing over 500km of gas, liquid, and multiphase pipelines, new gas processing and export compression facilities, infrastructure, and the PNG section of the gas pipeline from the Southern Highlands to Australian landfall at Cape York.
