WITH news emerging of further cost blowouts on the PNG-Queensland pipeline project and speculation continuing that PNG gas might be unable to compete with cheaper coal seam methane, PNG pipeline construction partner Australian Gas Light has completed the acquisition of a 50% share in one of Australia's largest producing CSM projects.
AGL acquired a 50% stake in the Moranbah coal seam methane project from BHP Billiton for $US68.7 million ($A93 million) effective January 1, 2006.
