Fugro takes on 4-year airborne survey in PNG

Fugro Airborne Surveys will commence the largest airborne geophysical survey ever attempted in PNG later this month in a bid to assess and identify the mineral riches in the highly prospective Highlands region. The area is already home to world-class mines such as Ok Tedi and Porgera.

A Fugro Airborne Surveys spokesperson told PNGIndustryNews.net the survey would take four years to complete and would cover more than 220,000 line kilometres at a cost of around $US25 million.
